The aim of our environmental education is to promote the development of students' environmentally conscious behaviour and lifestyle the familiarisation and acceptance of the environmental conditions of sustainable development in favour of preventing the environmental crisis. The ECO2 project-a deliberately planned long-term development plan, which can be incorporated into the organisational functioning of schools, contributing the reduction of the amount of carbon dioxide emissions on an institutional level. To do this, as a product of the project, a carbon footprint calculator will be developed, that allows schools to track their ecological footprint rate continuously. For reducing the ecological footprint we will develop additional teaching material objects, which with their awareness-raising feature, will help reduce the environmental impact on the level of schools and individuals as well. For measuring and checking the acquired knowledge we will work out questionnaires, and for using the educational videos, lesson plans will be made, therefore the environmentally conscious awareness can appear not only in the classroom but also outside the classroom and in the course of extra-curricular activities. Our programs have been designed so that they build on each other, strengthen and support each other, and it was also taken into consideration to achieve a knowledge transfer concerning deeper environmental content. The compilation of the partnership has been adjusted to this, in which beyond educational institutions of distant European countries, organisations engaged in environmental activities are also present, helping, supporting the schools and the successful implementation of the project with their experience.

Fourth (final) transnational meeting in Bacau

We held our fourth and final project meeting 8-9 April 2019. We chose Bacau as the venue for the meeting, which was originally planned in the application. (Podu cu lanturi” Hotel) As the main content element of the meeting, among the intellectual outputs the comics were presented and evaluated. During the meeting with the help of diagrams we evaluated the internal questionnaire of the previous conferences and the joint work. The end result was very positive. Together, we reviewed our second interim report and the feedback given to it.

We would like to highlight the hospitality and kind endeavours of the Romanian partner. The implementation of the project is coming to an end, but there are still many tasks to be accomplished.

Third transnational meeting in Lund

The third international meeting organized by ProIFALL was held in Lund, on 29th and 30th October 2018. Our important task was to discuss the didactic and methodological application of the intellectual outputs (videos and eco-comics). In the life of a project lasting several years, personnel changes also occur, so new colleagues were also introduced at the meeting.  In addition, thinking about continuing the ECO2 project as well, Emil Sigbrand attended the meeting on behalf of the Danish Board of Technology, as an added value of the meeting. The administrative and financial work was evaluated and we made preparations for the next interim report. We hope that in the spring, at the closing conference, the current theoretical videos will serve the purpose of education.
